I FAILED!
I promised her she would come home.
She didn't.
I promised her she'd get better.
She didn't.
I FAILED!

Piper.....It's okay hon. You did what you could, and she did go home, just not yours. Someone else wanted her with them more. You did ALL anyone could expect and lots more. You did nothing wrong. She was worn out and tired and went to sleep, thats all. We know where she is now. It's okay. Don't do something silly over something you COULD NOT control. Call me if you need to. Stacy
Not really!
You succeeded in building hope. You succeeded in giving comfort.
You succeeded in being a friend, and what's more, a loved one to stand by in time of crisis.
You succeeded in being there for her when she needed someone.
You did not fail in the things you cannot possibly control. No, instead you chose the proper words, the ones that were needed to give comfort, and hope; and you used them in place of ones that would produce only misery and despair. You gave from the heart and did what you did in love and understanding. You succeeded in being the rarest of all things,
a true friend.
