piper this is a VERY cutting edge study, and she was going to be their FIRST person on it.

piper but the siemens machine, they think has a smaller head, and might be able to get the picture where the GE wasn't...

piper but since when they applied for the study, they certified on the GE machines, they need to make sure that switching to the siemens machine won't invalidate the results

piper same with the drug, which is "difinity" or something like that... which will give them more definition by pumping a gas like substance into the heart

Robyn I'd think that any machine with specs as good or better should be ok not just the ONE and I mena ONE system

piper aparently it's more common in patients that have had open heart surgery, from where the ribs were mangled

piper the GE machines are newer, and over all, better/more sate of the art

piper it's just the Siemens machine, has a different head on the part that they stick tween the ribs.

piper the protocol as they read it for the study, basically states, that if you use one brand x to start, they want' you to use brand x for the whole thing

I'm really hoping that PICKLES reads this post, as it is mostly for him. Generally, you can be a loving, caring person, whom I look up to in many ways... and other times, you can be so blinded by political stupidity and be a complete uncaring ARSE!!! I was a chickenshit yesserday, and didn't go get the perm (silly isn't it).... N-E-ways... Kim, Pickles and I go up to hosp today, so that Kim can be fitted with a heart monitor, that she can take home, so that they can get better readings for the tests/procedures, without having to keep her in hosp overnight....
